
Why we stopped making “disposable” heaters
Most bathroom heaters are basically sealed boxes. You use one for five years, a heating tube burns out, and because you can’t actually get inside the thing, the whole fixture ends up in the trash. It’s a waste. We got tired of that. So we redesigned our infrared modules to actually last.
Making it easy to fix
We ditched the permanent fixtures and messy integrated wiring. Instead, we built a modular chassis. Here’s how it works: the heating elements aren’t fused to the power housing. If a tube goes, you don’t have to rip the entire unit off your wall and spend your afternoon cursing at it. You just pop the cover, unplug the old element, and drop in a new one. It’s that simple.
The “catch” (and how we handled it)
Now, if you’re a gear-head, you know that adding connectors usually means adding a point where things can break. Solder joints are “safer,” sure, but they’re a nightmare to repair. To make this work, we used industrial-grade, high-temp terminals. They don’t oxidize or get brittle after years of heating up and cooling down. Cheap connectors spark and arc—which is dangerous. Ours just work.
Real-world maintenance
Replacing a tube shouldn’t be a project that requires a professional technician and an hour of your life. With this setup, you’re done in five minutes. Plus, it gives you options. Want more heat? Change the wattage. Want a different infrared wavelength? Swap the tube. You don’t have to buy a whole new machine just to tweak the performance. One quick tip: whenever you swap a tube, take a second to look at the gaskets. If the seals have warped over the years, heat will leak into the chassis instead of warming up your room. Just check those seals before you plug everything back in. It turns a disposable appliance into something you actually own for the long haul.
